Popcorn FAQ

Where is the popcorn made?

All of our popcorn is made in a professional commercial kitchen specifically for the production of gourmet popcorn. All popcorn is made, packaged and shipped from our factory in Montgomery, Texas USA.

Are the ingredients listed on each bag?

Absolutely! The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) requires by law that the ingredients, place of manufacture and net weight be listed on each bag. We are proud to be in full compliance with local, state and federal laws.

How long does Gourmet popcorn stay fresh?

While each flavor of popcorn is different, typically if the product remains sealed in its original packaging, it will last a minimum of one month for lighter “savory” coatings such as Cheesy Cheddar, etc, but can often last two months or longer, especially for “candy” coatings such as with our Caramelcorn. However, conditions such as the storage environment and humidity may affect the shelf life.

What is the best way to store Gourmet popcorn?

To maintain freshness, we recommend sealing Gourmet popcorn in an air-tight Tupperware or Rubbermaid container. You can also use a standard chip-clip to seal your popcorn in its original packaging once it has been opened. However you choose to store it, do not place the popcorn in direct sunlight, near a heat source, or in a moist environment.

Why do some flavors of Gourmet popcorn weigh more than others?

All of the bagged varieties that we sell on the website are roughly 5-7 cups of popcorn. They range in weight from 3.3 oz to 9 oz. The weights vary depending upon the coating on the popcorn. Flavors like caramel corn, for example, weigh more due to the heavier candy coating than would cheese-corn or dill pickle, which have a lighter coat.

 


Popcorn Club FAQs

How does it work?

Simply select the number of bags of gourmet popcorn you wish to receive per month (1,3,4), the category of popcorn you want (sweet, savory, cheese) and your term (1, 3, 6, 12 months). Popcorn will be delivered directly to your door every month. Due to shipping rates, only US mailing addresses can receive monthly subscriptions.

What are the benefits of getting a subscription (What’s in it for me)?

The main benefit of getting a subscription is savings. Subscribers save on average $1.00 per bag. With subscription terms shipping is included! Subscribers also have access to seasonal, experimental and exclusive gourmet flavors not available to non-subscribers. Subscribers get exclusive access to promotional flavors to evaluate before they go to market. Lastly, isn’t it fun to get a surprise in the mail? Snacktime Express' subscription service makes every week feel like a holiday!

Can I choose which bags I get each month?

Yes! Bags can be chosen based on category. So for example, if you only like cheese, you will only get popcorn selections only containing cheese. If you can only have gluten free popcorn, you will only get gluten free popcorn. However, if you choose the ‘Surprise me’ category, you will get popcorn from every category at random. If you get a flavor you did not like, please let us know in the post order survey you get, or after you’ve tasted it.

What if I get a flavor I don’t like?

We understand that there are times that gourmet flavors may be too sweet, too savory, or just not your cup-of-tea. If you happen to get a flavor in your subscription that is not your taste, simply notify us and we will put it on your blacklist and you will never have it again.

 

Can I modify/cancel my subscription at anytime?

Yes; you may modify your subscription at anytime. You can change terms, flavor preferences, etc. You may also cancel your subscription at anytime as well. However, due to the inherent nature and limited shelf life of food items, we are unable to provide refunds (whole or partial) of canceled subscriptions.

 


Online Ordering FAQs

What could delay an order?

Weekends, legal holidays, treacherous weather and unexpected circumstances all could potentially delay order processing and shipment

Will I receive an order confirmation?

As long as you provide a valid email address at the time of your checkout, you will automatically receive an email confirmation. When your package ships, you will receive an email from USPS tracking service that includes shipment details and a tracking number; if you did not receive this email, please notify us at orders@snacktimeexpress.com or submitting an inquiry to our contact page.

How long will it take for my online order to ship?

The time it takes to fulfill an order can vary depending on it’s size and complexity, however we try to ship all orders within 2-3 business days, and while we are often able to ship orders out the same day, we cannot guarantee this with every order, particularly with popcorn tins which are filled with fresh popcorn to order. During peak times, such as major holidays, it may take 1-2 business days longer to fulfill an order; keep this in mind as you plan your order. If you need us to expedite the fulfillment of your order, or are concerned about getting your order shipped by a specific date, notify us in the “Order Notes” section during checkout and we will do our very best to ship the order within your time constraints!

USPS sent packages will vary based on the service you select.

How do I track my order?

As long as you provide a valid email address at the time of your checkout, upon shipping your order, USPS will send you tracking information via email. Use this information according to the instructions of USPS' email system or visit usps.com.

Do you ship on Weekends?

All shipments and deliveries are scheduled Monday – Friday only (shipments & deliveries that fall on weekday holidays will be postponed for the next business day)

Can I ship to a PO Box?

We can ship to a PO Box if using USPS.

What about international addresses?

Snacktime Express now ships worldwide! Throughout the US via USPS, and via UPS and DHL for the rest of the world.

What if the item(s) I selected are out of stock?

If your selected item is unavailable at the time of your order, you will be notified via email or phone and an alternative item of equal value may be selected.
